The training wheels are off!
Anna has been dying to learn to ride her bike with no training wheels. Travis finally took her out last night. He was afraid to let her go on the pavement so they started on the golf course. It was a good idea. By the end of the night she was riding her bike down our street. No skinned knees or elbows involved!

Alivia had tons of fun! She thought she was learning to ride too even though she's been riding her bike with training wheels for a long time now. Alivia was the one to come in crying with a hurt elbow from tipping over on her bike. Fortunately hot chocolate with whipped cream can take away the hurt from even the worst of scrapes!
I'm learning that so many things as your kids are growing up don't go as you'd imagined they would. This night was an exception. A precious memory!
The next day Anna wanted to go out and ride some more. Unfortunately Travis was at work and I guess I don't have the same teaching ability he does. She didn't want ANY help and I couldn't even look at her without getting snapped at. We went inside with me frustrated and her in tears. Oh well, I'll leave the bike riding lessons to Travis!

What's this?
I'm not sure if you realized it or not but we have a couple of gourmet chefs living at our house! I'm sure you're all jealous!
Chocolate with???
Alivia worked on this for about half an hour and then decided she should taste it. I wish I'd gotten a pic of her face. She was so perplexed about why it didn't taste like the brownie mix we had made the day before. After all it was full of cocoa!
Dough?
Anna was determined to make dough. She couldn't believe how much flour she had to add. With every scoopful she got more and more excited about her creation!
Yum! Yum!
I'm sure you're all cringing. Especially Grandma. ;0)
Time to clean
Vacuum Monster
Washcloth Skating
the girls learned this move from Pipi Longstocking
Magic Clean Up Chocolate
the girls weren't too excited about cleaning up(even though they assured me they would). but with a little help from some music, some "magic" clean up chocolate and mom they did a good job!
Fun times . . .
and silly (kind of freaky) faces with Ella!
More dressing up. I love it!
Ooo La La
Wow! This will be an amazing facility to use for God's kingdom!
Outside Complete!
Cafe' Amazonas Kelli and I had a lot of fun!

I can't believe how big your girls are getting! What a precious night/memory for you all :) Can't wait for our lunch date!
That's a special memory! I remember the night I started riding without training wheels. Kids are funny with their independent sides!
She'll definitely want you at other times that Dad just won't cut it. :) (like bra shopping...)
She looks so big! I like hearing about your challenges with Anna. I am right behind you with my Ella!!
Travis taught me too! However I was a lot older than Anna. He took me down to Beddy Wheeler and made me learn. What a great memory. Thanks for this post. I can't wait to come see her in action!
Wende! Your family is beautiful! I love you. Hey, I'll be in AK at the end of July. Hope to see you there. Also, do you have Angie's email? Also, Jay made a blog for us (well I did the creative outlining and he posts the ramblings :). meandmywifemary.blogspot.com
